Third Video Blog from ‘Hot Fuzz’

Hot Fuzz 3I don't know if they're doing one a week, but the videos from the 'Hot Fuzz' set seem to be coming thick and fast.

I like watching the 'Fuzz' blogs a lot more than most 'on-set' videos, mainly because I can watch Simon Pegg and Nick Frost fool about on camera all day, they just crack me up. Frost reminds me a bit of Will Ferrel, he has that same 'lost kid' look in his eyes. A beautiful idiot. A man-child

here's a plot synopsis from empire online..

"Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg made their names on the big screen with Shaun of the Dead, and details are finally emerging of their long-awaited follow-up Hot Fuzz, the British action movie we've been nagging them about for ages. Here's what we can expect…

Police constable Nicholas Angel (Pegg) is good at his job; so good in fact, he makes everyone else look bad. As a result, his superiors at the Met have decided to sweep him under the carpet. So it is that London's top cop finds himself in the sleepy West Country village of Sandford.

With garden fetes and neighbourhood watch meetings replacing the action of the city, Angel struggles to adapt to his situation and finds himself partnered with Danny Butterman (Frost), an oafish but well meaning young Constable, who dreams of being Mel Gibson. Just as all seems lost, a series of grisly accidents motivates Angel into action. Convinced of foul play, Angel realises that Sandford may not be as idyllic as it seems.

In addition to Frost and Pegg, the cast will also include (deep breath) Jim Broadbent, Timothy Dalton, Paddy Considine, Steve Coogan, Martin Freeman, Bill Bailey, Olivia Colman, Anne Reid, Rafe Spall, David Bradley, Stewart Wilson, Paul Freeman and Edward Woodward. Wright and Pegg wrote the script, and Wright is once again directing with Nira Park producing."

  1. If this was actually a blog or video podcast then surely I’d be getting feeds of it? Instead I’m relying on your good self to basically do the job for them. Crazy times…

Oh yeah. Thanks for providing a ‘feed’ of sorts.

  2. These are the kind of films that the UK film industry needs; not dumb, mass appeal chick flicks that are atypically ‘English’ and can be easily packaged for sale in the States. The dudes behind this film and people like Greengrass are the greatest hope we have.

Hot Fuzz is gonna be brilliant I’m sure of it. The problem is that I’ll end up wishing for Spaced series 3 even more. :(
