solace in cinema : A vast wasteland of movies

The full trailer has hit, and it's looking pretty sweet. Now a lot of people would disagree with me (especially the hardcore horror fans) but I really enjoyed the remake, don't get me wrong it's not better than the original, but I thought they did a good job of making it nasty enough, but also getting that grimey southern vibe, without making it too mtv. I'm still unsure why this is a prequel, if anything this one actually seems to be closer to the original than the remake was… maybe prequels are just the fashionable thing to do, lucas did it so everyone thinks its hip.

The apple site has this stupid time restriction on the trailers, so you can only watch them at night. That of course only being the case if you live in north america. So essentially all they're doing is stopping people from seeing it. DUMB.

Catching up some more on everything i've missed, there's been 4 video blogs for 'Hot Fuzz' in the last 4 weeks, and by the sounds of it there may be 1 more and then production wraps.

Blog #8 has a cameo by everyones favourite new zealander Peter Jackson, it's worth watching for that alone. When these blogs started I wasn't keen on them, they didn't seem to give a lot of insight into the shoot or even much behind the scenes footage. As they've gone on, you can tell they're just bored and so, are amusing themselves between takes by goofing around in front of the camera. Loving it.

Howdy. I've been away tearing it up around the world, and I thought It was about time I picked up where I left off and try to cover everything I missed while I was away, so today and tomorrow expect a flury of new posts, covering the latest news and trailers that I missed out on covering while I was trecking around in the southern hemisphere.

So Michael Bay's Transformers live action remake of transformers seems to be fully into pre-production, and so confident are they that its not going to go belly up, they've launched a teaser site and a poster. Click here to see a bigger version of the poster over at impawards. The tagline 'Their war, our world' is enough to make the little kid in me start hyperventilating at the thought of seeing optimus prime kick some megatron ass in live-action.
