‘Idiocracy’ images, and script review

idiocracy posterSometimes I wish I could be a film facist, i'd only watch Truffaut and Bergman films and I could talk deeply about 'subtext' and the influence of Belgian new-wave on modern cinema. Unfortunatly I like 'Office Space'… and 'Harold Kumar get the munchies' and i've seen more than 2 Cheech and Chong movies. sue me

Office Space is one of my favourite films, the kind of film I can watch over and over, once I watched it, then I made a cup of tea, and I watched it again. Mike Judge the writer/director was the creator of Beavis and Butthead, and co-creator of King of the Hill, so if you never enjoyed either of those… well it doesn't matter… office space is still funny. Anyway, Judge's new film 'Idiocracy' stars Luke Wilson, check out the synopsis:

Private Joe Bowers, the definition of "average American", is selected by the Pentagon to be the guinea pig for a top-secret hibernation program, set 1,000 years in the future. He discovers a society so incredibly dumbed-down that he's easily the most intelligent person alive.

  1. [...] With the R1 dvd release of Mike Judges ignored 'Idiocracy' just around the corner (January 9th) the trailer has finally turned up on amazon and some clips have been posted over on youtube. I've talked about it briefly before when some stills were released, but Idiocracy was buried by Fox and had a very limited theatrical release in the states and will almost certainly go straight to dvd in all the other territories. From the reports it was a real crime to treat this film as Fox have done, and apparently it's a great comedy, and up to Judges previous standard set by 'Office Space'. [...]
