OK, up until now i've been a pretty big proponent of remakes, I enjoyed 'Dawn of the Dead', 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre', and 'The Hills have Eyes' but the Wicker Man remake is something I have a problem with. The original is brilliant, dark and has one of my favourite endings in a film ever, but the remake just seems… well unnecessary. Perhaps my dislike for the remake doesn't stem from loving the original, but rather just a natural hatred of Nicholas Cage. I can't fucking stand the guy.

I don't even know where this hatred came from, but it seems to have built up inside me to such a point to where even sitting through films i'm enjoying (like 'The Weather Man') when he's on screen, I throw up a little in my mouth. I don't know why, Maybe it's just outfits like this. I can't even watch 'Raising Arizona' anymore

If you've seen the original Wicker Man, then these images will be of no surprise to you, because they show what happens in the third act of the film. You know what i'm talking about.
