Steve Niles has stuck his oar in on the latest video-diary from the set of '30 days of night', just really saying "helloooooo internet!"and saying how happy he is that David Slade (Hard Candy) will be directing the film.

I'd already mentioned before that Josh Hartnett had been cast as the lead (something i'm not amazingly happy about) but I just realised i'd missed a bit of casting information, Danny Huston has been cast as the lead vampire. Huston, for those that don't know him… is a creepy looking dude even without make-up.
