As always 'Black Magic' are right on top of any film news coming out of New Zealand. 'The Ferryman' is an interesting looking horror/thriller starring a seemingly odd set of actors. John Rhys-Davies (Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones) Kerry Fox (Shallow Grave) and Tamer Hassan (Layer Cake) are all english, which seems an odd choice for a New Zealand Production. Here's a brief plot synopsis:

A group of twenty-somethings charter a boat into the South Pacific for the trip of a lifetime, before stumbling upon an evil that demands vengeance at any cost
