I thought It might be interesting to break down the Grindhouse trailer into it's component parts, and see what we can gleem from it. So I took lots of screenshots (from the best quality source I could find) and we're going to walk through it piece by piece. the girls… the guns… the explosions…

For those that are in the know, calling it the 'Grindhouse' trailer is a misnomer as the trailer footage is really all from Robert Rodriguez's film 'Planet Terror' with a small dash of fake trailer mayhem in the form of 'Machette' thrown in for good measure.

It's still not clear what the exact plot of 'Planet Terror' is, and everyone is similarly in the dark about 'Death Proof'. About all anyone can say about the films is that 'Death Proof' is about a Stuntman (Kurt Rusell AKA Stuntman Mike) that hunts and kills women with his car that has been 'Death proofed', 'Planet Terror' is about zombies… that's as far as anyones got.

It's a rumour Rodriguez's film is called 'Planet Terror' as a reference to a 1960's Mario Bava film of the same name, that's pretty fucking cool.
