More Korean ‘Creature Features’, Now with added Dragons

D-War movieSouth Korea is absolutely storming out of the gate when it comes to impressive looking movies at the moment. I say that, like they came out of nowhere, but 'D-War' has been in production for what seems like eternity. I remember reading about it and seeing stills from it over at Twitch, well over 2 years ago. Now actually seeing some decent footage from the film you can tell where that time went.

'D-war' is a korean production, but is set in LA, and has a largely american cast:

"Based on the Korean legend, unknown creatures will return and devastate the planet. Reporter Ethan Kendrick is called in to investigate the matter, and he arrives at the conclusion that a girl stricken with a mysterious illness named Sarah is suppose to help him. The Imoogi makes its way to Los Angeles, wreaking havoc and destruction. With the entire city under arms, will Ethan and Sarah make it in time to save the people of Los Angeles?"

ok.. so it sounds odd. They're currently trying to flog it at the American film Market, hence there's bits of footage floating around, so before you judge check out some dragons smashing shit up here (downloadable .asf)

I still haven't seen 'The Host', It's on the list, and now so is 'D-War'
