Reno 911 is hands down one of my favourite tv comedies. I have no idea why it's never been shown on UK tv, maybe they figured we wouldn't 'get it', but they show 'COPS' on late night tv, so we do have some frame of reference. Regardless if you've never seen it you need to import the american dvds. All you really need to see to get a taste of the series is the 'boots of escaping' clip … pure genius

The film version of the show 'Reno 911: Miami' has a trailer online, including a pretty cool version with some of the characters doing a commentary over the top (in character). Here's hoping it does the series justice…
