Really the only reason I've been keeping my eye on this film is because it's the next Hollywood film from Mathieu Kassovitz, after the train wreck that was 'Gothika', but of course Kassovitz will always be redeemed because he directed 'La Haine' (also turns in quite a good show as an actor… he was the love interest in 'Amelie').

Currently filming in the Czech republic, 'Babylon A.D' stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Yeoh and Gerard Depardieu. Here's the plot synopsis.

"Veteran-turned-mercenary Thoorop (Diesel) takes the high-risk job of escorting a woman from Russia to China. Little does he know that she is host to an organism that a cult wants to harvest in order to produce a genetically modified Messiah."

hahah, oh jesus. what? that's almost as good as the crank plot.

I'm praying Kassovitz is going to turn in something good, and if not then maybe just go back to making some small movies again, hopefully with Vincent Cassell.
