‘Knocked Up’ like a 40yr Old Virgin

Knocked up posterThe posters and a couple of different trailers for 'Knocked Up' have made their way online.

From the outside It would be easy to pass off 'Knocked up' as another rubbish romantic comedy, and while there's hundred of those that fill the cinemas every year (some crappy looking Hugh Grant vehicle I saw a poster for yesterday for example, 'Music and Lyrics' … bleh) I think this will be a cut above. Director Judd Apatow's previous film 'The 40yr Old Virgin' is funny in all the right ways, and should get special credit for bringing the fantastic Steve Carell to everyone's attention.

"Allison Scott is an up-and-coming entertainment journalist whose 24-year-old life is on the fast track. But it gets seriously derailed when a drunken one-night-stand with slacker Ben Stone results in an unwanted pregnancy. Faced with the prospect of going it alone or getting to know the baby's father, Allison decides to give the lovable doof a chance"

The posters for the film can be seen here

You can check out the official site here

There's a scene from the film online at empireonline here

And there's a full trailer over at Yahoo here (trust me it's worth taking 3 minutes out of your day for)

i'll leave you with a quote from 'The 40yr Old Virgin":

Cal: The problem most men have is they don't know how to talk to women…

Andy Stitzer: You know what my problem is? I am not interesting. What am I supposed to say I went to magic camp? That I'm an accomplished ventriloquist? Oh, I'm a 7th degree imperial yo-yo master.

[yelling as he impersonates a woman]
Andy Stitzer: Ooooh, do me yo-yo master I want you to do me cuz you're the yo-yo guy…
