Japanese ‘Children of Men’ poster
'Children of Men' was right up there in my top five of last year, an understated and bleak futuristic vision with an intelligent script and one of the best 'one take' action sequences i've seen in a long while. I loved it. It's been and gone from cinemas in most places, and the dvd is on it's way (already out if you're in the UK), but still when I see something interesting like this poster I feel the need to post about it.
This Japanese poster appeared over at impawards, and normally i'm a big fan of the oriental versions of posters but this one seems a bit off track, and the imagery seems largely unconnected to the actual plot of the film. It all feels very '2001', when the films more '1984'. Reminded me of a great series of articles I read while ago on CHUD about the bizarre artwork of Polish film posters…
