A nice new poster for ‘Black Sheep’ has arrived over at impawards, along with news that the film will premiere in the U.S at the SXSW festival (a festival that’s looking like it’s going to be amazing). After seeing the latest trailer I was slightly disappointed as I was hoping for more of a Braindead-style-horror and ‘Black Sheep’ more serious and more Hollywood-ised. Still it’s a New Zealand Sheep-based horror film… it has to be worth a look.

‘Black Sheep’ is released in NZ on the 29th of March but has no theatrical distributors set for any other regions and will probably continue to do the festival circuit around the world well in to the summer.

- on a side note i’m loving the new ‘plot keywords’ on imdb, It’s just fun seeing what a film is tagged as..black sheep has ‘experiment gone wrong’, but more fun is had if you look up really dark films… for example ‘Salo’ has the tags ‘Eating Nails, ‘Defecation Scene’ … and oddly also ‘Conga Line’. That’s my Monday night sorted.
