I've always thought Danny Boyle's strength is as a director of people and characters but here he gives us a real epic - the visuals are simple stunning and I found myself open-mouthed at points. Again, I don't want to go into any more detail as I will be writing a full review later... suffice to say catch Sunshine when it opens in the UK next month. I was lucky enough to see a preview of Sunshine on Friday and completely echo the sentiments in this post. It really is more of an experience than a bit of entertainment to watch while chomping on popcorn...Actually, I can't imagine eating during it. I fortunately caught an early screening at WonderCon of Hot Fuzz so I don't have to worry about waiting another 1.5 months for that here in the US... but Sunshine... all the way to September or December?! NO way, I CAN'T wait the entire summer for this! Especially after hearing this reaction!! Gah!! I am seriously considering flying to the UK just to see Sunshine.
