It’s been a while since i’ve posted anything about Transformers, so much so that I totally can’t even really remember what my feelings are about it. Then I saw this trailer. Will this film teach me anything? probably not… but on a purely visceral level it looks like it’s going to fully deliver.

Here’s the brief for the film:
- Show me a lot of very cool looking giant robots
- make shit explode. A LOT.

p.s Keep an eye out for Michael Bay signature shots (I see a few in the trailer)

- Highway sequences, usually paired with cars exploding and doing front flips
- Stuff being thrown off or out of moving vehicles.. towards pursuers. Meat Wagons + Corpses, Car Transporters + Cars etc
- Slow motion shots of people getting out of helicopters (usually shot from below)
- Cameras doing 360 revolutions of characters, sometimes as they draw weapons.
- A giant explosion followed by debris of some form flying towards the camera at high speed.
- People walking in slow motion in a line, sometimes as doors open around them. Occasionally accompanied by a 180 revolution camera spin (eye level) of character watching said people walking towards them.
- People standing up from a crouch position filmed in slow motion (shot from below) as jets/flying machines fly overhead and the character looks up and watches them pass.
- Following high speed objects from behind as they head towards a target. Missiles… falling bombs etc.
