The shoddy looking official website for Neil Marshall’s ‘Doomsday’ has gone live and is hosting an odd selection of images (At a guess I would say they’re comps from the rumoured comicon artbook) with information on the film in a tiny unreadable font. You can check it out officially here or you can check them out in our flickr account here in varying sizes.
I’m a nerd for Neil Marshall and I really think ‘Doomsday’ is going to be great. A film all about sealing off scotland from the rest of England? how can it be bad? (that was a joke.. I love Scotland… high five?… anyone?.. no, ok then)
While we’re on the subject there’s some interesting coverage over at cinematical from the Doomsday comicon panel
Watching the footage, I was struck by just how much Marshall was influenced by other movies and Escape from New York in particular. You may as well start referring to Doomsday as Escape from Scotland because watching this was almost like watching a trailer for that movie.

Just like I predicted ‘The Darjeeling Limited’ has snuck up on me. I’m interested in all of Wes Anderson’s new projects but I wasn’t really very excited to see the new trailer. Curious, sure, but excited?… not so much. After seeing it I’m really hyped to see the film.
