Beowulf CG looks great on those posters…but still, Robert Zemeckis? Really? Polar Express was pretty wrteched in terms of character design and movement. He’s a great at special effects, no doubt, but I don’t know if I trust him around fully computer generated characters. Anyone see Monster House?
Yeah, who knows the reports don’t sound too enthusiastic either…
“I have to say the animation doesnt look like anything you´ve seen before, it´s actually done so well that it takes you a few minutes before you realize the actors are animated as well (or actually it looks more like animation-effects have been painted over actual live footage). This is intriguing at first but quite soon the characters start looking quite dead, just like the ones in ´The Polar Express´.”
