Which is not just our loss, it's theirs, because they could be making more money. Wankers. Supposedly there's some rights issues over the Pilot, which was why it wasn't included in the US S1 box set. But they used the US boxes for the box set they released over here, so even though ours *does* include the pilot, there was a booklet inside which said "The Story So Far" and laid out the plot of the Pilot scene by scene. Imagine how many people read the booklet, thinking it was necessary, and then had to sit through 90 minutes of what they'd just read, ruining it. And the pilot is the best episode. Not a single person in charge of releasing it bothered to actually check what they were releasing. The extras are not worth much, in my opinion, but the inferior sound is *really* inferior. Back when they were released on tape, it was so bad that between scenes and in silent moments, it sounded like there was a welder just out of shot. These are the same people who used to put some random techie in charge of Panning & Scanning somebody's carefully shot cinematography because they thought people would complain about the black letterbox strips.
