I think that the critic should have waited until after he/she saw the movie to shut it down. There are a lot of people who read reviews before they actually see a movie.

I personally found the movie worth my money. Although I do agree with mrlerone on the whole jesus talk in an -end of the world- movie. There was a whole lot of eye rolling in the theatre when it started.

The movie was worth seeing. And for someone who hasn’t read the book I must say who the hell cares whether or not it was religious to the book. It was still entertaining and that should be enough.. don’t get all geeky on a good movie.

Flames, explain yourself please. It was alright, if anything. ‘Amazing’ isn’t enough to challenge any critic, and insulting critics with arbitrary insults doesn’t really get you anywhere either. And what exactly is a ‘judgement prick’? You’re the one being Captain ‘This film is amazing’, a firm judgement if ever I’ve seen one.

The film wasn’t that good, as the majority of cinema-goers have decided from watching the film. The CGI was shoddy and unconvincing, jarring awkwardly with the beautifully dressed deserted New York of the first half. The ending was sudden, clearly re-written from the original book to please audiences and avoid ‘dark’ territory, and it threw in some unnecessary Jesus references that are hard to swallow in a film about a man fighting vampires.

Whoever said that the trailer for I Am Legend is utter shit is a judgemental prick. The trailer barely scratches the surface and the film is amazing. Don’t let this article put you off, it’s just another spineless statement my a dimwit critic.

Oh! And that new trailer Jerry Gordon linked to uses the sountrack to The Fountain! After the overuse of the Requiem for a Dream theme for LOTR:TTT, Lost and many other films/shows, I was wondering how long it would take before trailers started borrowing Clint Mansells next Darron Aronofsky sountrack.

It’s an amazing score to be honest.

No one has done the story justice. That’s for sure. We’ll have to see how this adaption goes, but I doubt it will rise/fall based on the creature effects. I’m more concerned about the story veering too far from the source material, especially when it comes to the ending…
